Today’s post is about enjoying an open-air bath at night at #Kananaskis #NordicSpa near Calgary, Canada, a place I highly recommend.

Kananaskis Mountain Lodge has a very famous adult only spa called Nordic Spa.

There are various programs, but the one that Mickey recommends the most is enjoying the open-air bath at night, Twilight Soak (5pm-9pm) . This is a night open-air bath experience that you can enjoy every day from 5pm until the spa closes at 9pm.

​

The comfort of soaking in warm water on a snowy night and letting the warm water seep into your body!!! Anyone who has experienced it will know.

​

​

For me, enjoying the open-air bath at night in Kananaskis was a truly healing time. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take pictures myself because cell phones were banned, so I took pictures of the Nordic Spa.

Let’s take a look at what a Nordic spa looks like.

The open-air bath is divided into two areas: upper/mid/lower deck.

There is also a round sauna barrel that looks like a wine barrel. There is also a Russian-style sauna room called Banya.

It would be a shame if the sauna didn’t have Finnish style.

It’s something to enjoy in the middle of winter, but there’s also a cold bath^^ haha.

Surprisingly, a spa experience requires a lot of energy.

As I go back and forth between the hot bath and the sauna, I get hungry. Even in that case, no worries. There is a restaurant inside the Nordic Spa.

They sell a much more diverse menu than you might think.

All of the food at Mountain Lodge is delicious, so you can order it without hesitation. I think you have to take the price into account since it is a travel destination. lol

Unlike the cold air of midwinter, the open-air bath experience at Nordic Spa will provide you with comfort and warm water 😍

If you’ve enjoyed the spa sufficiently, it’s time to get ready to go home, right? The locker room is also clean. I kept my personal belongings neatly organized and placed in the locker. Slippers and shower balls are provided, and there are plenty of towels, so you only need to bring personal cosmetics.

There is a nightly rate at the Nordic Spa.

It’s a plan called Twilight Soak.

You can think of this amount as almost a 50% discount on the morning admission price.

Weekday rates are about $10 cheaper than weekend rates.

If you stay at the Mountain Lodge as a Marriott Bonvoy member, you can receive a discount of $59.

​

The Nordic Spa here is very popular, so reservations are back up quite a bit. We take reservations three months in advance, so many weekends are already booked out.

Please refer to the dates available for reservation in the last week of January and February.

Kananaskis Nordic Spa is an adult-only open-air bath, so the number of people is limited, so you can enjoy it without crowds. In my experience , I think that the romantic open-air bath experience under the stars at night is more beautiful than the brightness of the day .

Kananaskis is impossible to get around without a private vehicle. There are no buses that run regularly. So Mickey Tour was prepared.
