Review of Courtyard Hotel by Marriott in Downtown Calgary, Canada

I will write about my short one-night stay at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel located in downtown Calgary, Canada.
This is my first time introducing the Courtyard brand on the blog, so let’s take some time to get to know it. lol
What about Courtyard among Marriott hotels?
I mentioned last time when I introduced the Banff MOXY Hotel that Marriott hotels operate in a total of four categories.
Courtyard is in the 3rd SELECT level out of 4 categories.
The SELECT rating is easy to understand if you think of it as a business hotel. Now that I think about it, the MOXY hotel introduced above has the same SELECT rating. lol
I think Courtyard is the business hotel with the best selection among the select class. In particular, courtyards in Southeast Asia are reasonably priced and have facilities that are up to the luxury level.
However, in North America, it is just a 3-star business hotel!!!
Now you understand what kind of hotel the Cordyard is, right? lol
Location of Calgary Courtyard Downtown Hotel Calgary Courtyard Hotel is located in the Downtown Core.
It is no exaggeration to say that it is located.
Courtyard by Marriott Calgary Downtown
525 5 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2P 1P7 Canada
Unusually, it is in the same building as the Autograph Collection Hotel Dorian. Only the entrance is separate, and they actually use the same building.
Now, shall we take a look at the Calgary Courtyard by Marriott Hotel?
On this day, I just slept at the hotel and couldn’t look around in detail.
I couldn’t even eat breakfast due to my busy schedule.
Even thinking about it again, it’s really sad.

For this stay, the upgrade was just one level.
How about getting a slightly larger room?
Still, I’m satisfied.
I’m just going to sleep and go.
When I opened the door and went in, the room was really nice.
Is this the Courtyard??????
To put it bluntly,
It was truly the best of all the Courtyard hotels I have stayed in.
Can you see that the bed sheets are all angles?
Wow, it’s not a joke, is it?
There is a sofa bed in front of the bed like this.
The sofa is transformed into a sofa bed and it looks so luxurious.
Although it is made of cloth, the material is high quality and I really like the design.
In front of the sofa, there is a dresser with a desk and refrigerator.
The desk is really neat and nice.
The carrier holder right next to it is also really cool.
Is the decoration really this cool?? None!!
It’s really no joke!!!!
(I’ve been using this expression several times today. Haha)

Every single item was made to a high standard and well done.
The closet located right next to the bathroom has extra blankets, irons, etc.
The bathroom and toilet are also neat and tidy!!

Courtyard Hotel in North America
Since it is a 3-star hotel, the facilities are minimal and basic.
There is a business center next to the front desk on the first floor.
Bistro Novelle is located on the 2nd floor.
You can also have breakfast and dinner here.

The atmosphere is bright and pretty.

Parking fee: Valet only $50
Because it’s downtown, the outrageous parking fees are really unavoidable.
It’s nice to use valet because it allows you to park safely underground.
Too expensive, right?
Plus, you have to give a tip every time you leave the car.
However, overnight parking in downtown Calgary is a bit unsafe to just park outdoors.
There is a street parking lot right next to the hotel building, so you can park there, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Miki’s overall review
This is truly my favorite Courtyard hotel that I have ever been to. It’s been about a year since it opened, so it’s still a new hotel. I hope it maintains a modern and sophisticated atmosphere.
If you are planning to stay at the Calgary Courtyard Downtown Hotel, we recommend not bringing a car.

After finishing your downtown tour, why not pick up a rental car and schedule a trip to Banff or nearby areas? do.
